High School (Grades 9 to 12)

SIFC offers an academically challenging and personally enriching High School education to students in Grades 9 to 12.

Our High School Programme is designed to equip students with the academic skills and depth of discipline‑specific knowledge required for University study and their chosen profession, as well as developing the values and life skills needed to live a fulfilled and purposeful life.

SIFC High School adopts the advanced American Common Core State Standards (CCSS), to borrow the precious experience from abroad, follows typical American course standards with taking Chinese education reality into consideration. Students in SIFC are supposed to learn the cutting-edge culture abroad and inherit the essence of Chinese traditional culture. SIFC graduates abroad are expected to work as an “envoy of Chinese culture”.

High School provides various compulsory and optional courses. Students with 65 credits in total can get an American high school diploma.  Encouraging students to engage with a variety of subjects is fundamental to our approach to allow students to explore their personal passions and interests and adequately prepare them for specialism at University. In Grades 9 to 12 students have the option to study Advanced Placement (A.P) courses. A.P courses are equivalent to undergraduate University courses that lead to external examination for which students can earn credits and accelerated placement at University.
